About Rigel
How it started
We work on every product until it is clear and effortless, so that young and old can use it for as long as possible, without needing anyone’s help.
The idea behind Rigel was born in early 2018 on a Discord server. I was playing with people of all ages, and there was always someone asking for help with something. Most of the time it surprised me: things that seemed more than ordinary to some of us were a real obstacle for others.
That is when I realised that everyone thinks, but the way we think differs from person to person, and every way takes its own path. Some of us think, analyse and act without any trouble. Others think and analyse but cannot act, and end up stuck in a complicated loop.
Many problems needed a series of steps to solve, which cost time and effort. So we kept reshaping those steps to take less effort and less time, and above all, so that young and old alike could solve the very same problem.
That is how Rigel began: a community before it was a studio. I am one of its members, and its most active one.

Why Rigel?
850light-years
Rigel is a star about 850 light-years away from us, yet we can see it with the naked eye. That is how we see good solutions: there may be a long distance of work and thought behind them, but the result should be clear to everyone, with no tools and no middlemen.
Our mission
Rigel exists to simplify the experience of every product we deliver. We rework it step by step, removing complexity and replacing it with simplicity, until it becomes something people can rely on by themselves for years. Our long experience in creating innovative solutions for real user needs comes down to one idea: every need deserves a clear answer.
Simplicity first
We remove every unnecessary step until only what matters remains.
Independence
We design so people can use a product on their own, without asking anyone for help.
For every age
If young and old can solve the same problem, we have done our job.
Built to last
We build products that stay useful for years, not weeks. Less time and less effort, every time.
How we simplify
A sequence of steps we keep reshaping until it takes less time and less effort.
- 01
Listen
We understand the problem the way the user sees it, not the way we do.
- 02
Map
We write down every step a person goes through and find where it gets complicated.
- 03
Simplify
We merge, remove and reorder: less time, less effort.
- 04
Test with everyone
We test with young and old. If anyone needs help, we go back a step.
- 05
Make it last
We deliver something that works for years, and stay close to improve it.
